Robbers loot gold ornaments, cash in Jaypurhat

Our Correspondent brJAYPURHAT, Aug 31 Armed robbers killed a house keeper and looted gold ornaments worth Tk 58,000 from Dadra Jantigram village under Sadar Upazila Friday night.brPolice and villagers said a gang of 20 armed robbers entered the house of Protul Chandra Mondol, Anil Chandra Mondol, Nirmal Chandra Mondol, son of late Mahim Chandra Mondol breaking the main gate at about 1.00 am Friday night. brThe robbers beat the house inmates indiscriminately. House keeper Protul Chandra Mondol died on the spot and four others Utpal Chandra, son Anil Chandra, Polash, son of Protul Chandra, Sajol, Joshna Shitol were critically injured. They were admitted to Bogra Medical College and Sadar Hospital in Jaypurhat.
