Robbers loot valuables injuring 2 in M\\\'singh

Robbers injured two inmates of a businessman's house and looted gold ornaments, cash and other valuables from the house at Sahapara village in Phulpur upazila of Mymensingh district early Tuesday. Motaleb Miah, officer-in-charge of Phulpur Police Station, said a gang of 10-12 robbers stormed the house of businessman Asim Roy near the police station by breaking open the door and held the house inmates hostage at gunpoint. They looted 25 tolas of gold ornaments, Tk 50,000 in cash and other valuable items from the house. The handlooms mercilessly beat Asim's wife Promila Roy and their son Onto Roy as they tried to resist them, leaving them injured. The injured were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, according to UNB.
