Robi introduces call conferencing service

Leading mobile phone operator Robi has introduced call conferencing service for its prepaid customers, which would enable group discussion simultaneously among multiple callers on their mobile phone devices.
The recently renamed telecom giant has also unleashed an aging based tariff plan, which, according to the operator, will enable the customers with a special tariff based on the period of their subscription.
The two offers were simultaneously launched at a press conference in the city Sunday. Top officials from the leading telecom operator were present during the occasion.
The aging based tariff offer will enable prepaid customers with a special tariff during the month of June and July depending upon their usage in the month of May, Robi officials said on the eve of launching the offer.
It stipulates a reduction in tariff for those who can increase their usage by Tk. 100 in May compared to that of April- the marketing officials of Robi said, adding "it would further allow the customers to enjoy subsequent reductions every two months if they continue the same usage of May for the next ten months.
The call conferencing facilities, on the other hand, allow six people to communicate simultaneously over their mobile phones, Robi officials said.
"With the launch of Robi, we promised to bring exciting offers throughout the year and this is the first in line with that pledge", said Bidyut Kumar Basu, Robi's Chief Marketing Officer said on the occasion.
Head of Marketing Sania Mahmood and Head of Communications and Media Relations Mohiuddin Babar were also present on the occasion.
