Robi sees strong revenue growth in Q3

Robi Axiata Limited posted highest quarterly revenue earning of BDT 7,821 million in third quarter (Q3) of 2011.
The company Monday announced its unaudited results for the third quarter (Q3) of 2011.
This is an increase of 13 percent from the same period of 2010 and 3 percent increase from the previous quarter. However, on normalized basis total revenue growth was 23% during the third quarter (Q3) of 2011 as compared to the same quarter of previous year. The company has also added .785 million subscribers in Q3 of 2011, an increase of 5.4 percent from last quarter.
Michael Kuehner, Managing Director & CEO, Mahtabuddin Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer were present along with other top officials of the company at the press briefing.
Presenting the Q3 report, Robi chief financial officer (CFO) Mahtabuddin Ahmed said, "EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) margin for the Q3 of 2011 was up by 18 percent from the last quarter (Q2 of 2011) driven by aggressive subscriber growth, SIM tax reduction and better cost management. Our growth trajectory continues with highest quarterly revenue of BDT 7,821 million.
Michael Kuehner, Managing Director & CEO mentioned, "I'm pleased that our quarterly performance has become very consistent in terms of revenue growth and profitability despite operating in a very tough environment for the industry.
