Robi to provide mobile related services to UPs

Mobile telecom operator Robi Axiata Limited signed a tripartite agreement Monday with Local Government Division of Ministry of LGRD and 'Support to Digital Bangladesh a programme of Prime Minister's Office, to provide feasible mobile integrated services.
Chief Marketing Officer of Robi, Bidyut Kumar Basu and Additional Secretary, Local Government Division Syeed Mahboob Hasan, National Project Director, Support to Digital Bangladesh programme Md. Nazrul Islam Khan inked the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at the office of Prime Minister.
Under this agreement Robi will provide feasible mobile integrated services (Data connectivity, Electronic Recharge Service & PCO Connectivity) packages to Union Information and Service Center (UISC) in 4501 Union Parishads.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Marketing Officer of Robi, Bidyut Kumar Basu, said, "Robi is happy to be part of this service which will serve the mass people in union level. Now people will have easier access to information."
At the signing event from Robi Sadat Adnan Ahmad, VP, Market Operation, Muhammed Shahedul Alam, VP,Legal & Compliance, Md. Ataul Haque, Manager, Market Operation were also present.
Under this project Robi expects to cover 800 union parishads within a year.
