FE Report
South Korea will help the government introduce electronic filing management system to cut the document processing time to seven days from 30 days and reduce corruption and increase accountability of the public officials.
The introduction of the new system will bring dynamism in managing files (electronic registration, report, signature, storage etc.) in the government office, said a Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) official.
"The project will be implemented in establishment ministry and it will be finished by 2012," resident representative of KOICA Bangladesh office Lee Jung Wook said.
Public Administration Computer Centre (PACC) of the establishment ministry will implement the project with the financial and technical assistance form KOICA, he added.
South Korean experts will install IT equipment at data centre and training room at the ministry in order to improve efficiency, dynamism and transparency, Mr Lee said.
"Bangladeshi officials will also get training in South Korea for successful implementation and maintenance of the system," he said.
