GOPALGANJ, Dec 21: Begum Rokeya Day was observed in a befitting manner in Gopalganj recently.
On the occasion, Urban Partnership Poverty Reduction Project (UPPRP) and Gopalganj pourashava brought out a procession and arranged a discussion in Shilpakola Academy premises.
DC of Gopalganj Sheikh Yousuf Harun was present as the chief guest in the meeting.
SP Abdul Quddus Amin, president of district AL Mohammad Ali Khan Abu Mia and Chairman of Gopalganj pourashava Hasmat Ali Sikder Chunnu were present as special guests.
Councillor of Gopalganj pourashava GM Sahabuddin Azam was in the chair.
