Rokeya Memorial Lecture held at DU

The Rokeya Memorial Lecture marking the Begum Rokeya Day was held at the Dhaka University (DU) Senate Bhaban Saturday, reports BSS. Women and Gender Studies Department of the DU organised the function with its chairperson Soheli Khadiza Azad in the chair. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Harun-or-Rashid addressed the function as the chief guest while Social Sciences Faculty Dean Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed was the special guest. Professor of English Department Niaz Zaman and writer Selina Hossain delivered the memorial lectures while Professor Emeritus Nazma Chowdhury delivered the address of welcome.
