Roof collapse kills schoolgirl

KHULNA, June 27 (UNB): A schoolgirl was killed when a roof of a two-storey building collapsed on her at Ahsan Ahmed Road under Kotwali thana in the city on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Abida Arabi Sarafi, 15, a class VIII student of Iqbalnagar Girls School and daughter of Emdadul Hakim, a resident of the area.
Sukumar Biswas, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said the roof of a two-storey old building collapsed on her during rain around 10 am, leaving her critically injured.
Later she was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where doctors declared her dead.
