Roof collapse kills three Panchagarh workers

PANCHAGARH, Mar 07 (UNB): Three workers were killed and three others injured as the roof of a refueling station collapsed on them in Khanpukur area in the district town on Wednesday noon.
The deceased were identified as Mawla Liton, 35, son of Akkas Ali of Purba Jalasir area, Babu Ali, 25, son of Yusuf Ali, a resident of Chanpara area and Saju, 35, son of Abdul Baten of Darjipara area.
Police said that the roof of the under-construction building of 'Panchagarh Filing Station' collapsed around 1:30pm, leaving two workers dead on the spot and four others injured.
The injured were admitted at Rangpur Medical College Hospital and Panchagarh Adhunik Sadar Hospital.
Among the injured, one died on the way to hospital.
Several workers also remained missing after the incident.
