Opener Adam Rossington and Md Naim's half centuries took Chattogram Royals to an easy 10 wicket victory against Dhaka Capitals on Friday, report agencies.
Winning the toss, Chattogram opted to field and chased down the 122 run target with 44 balls remaining, while Dhaka was all out in the last over at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Southpaw Naim faced 40 balls to get 54, his first half century of the tournament, hitting seven fours and one six. English wicket-keeper batter Rossington smashed 11 boundaries, including two sixes, off 36 balls to reach 60. He made a record with four stumpings in a single innings of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)-- two off the bowls by Tanvir Islam and the rest of Mahedi Hasan deliveries. He was awarded Player of the Match due to his superb performance in front of and behind the stumps.
Tanvir Islam and Shoriful Islam took three wickets each for Chattogram, with Tanvir giving only eight runs in four overs.
Meanwhile, Dhaka lost its first wicket with Saif Hassan, who was out facing the bowl of Shoriful in the first over. With one and then nine runs in the last two matches, the skipper of Bangladesh national T-20 team left the crease in Dhaka's third match of the tournament, once again scoring just one. His opening partner, Afghan batter Zubaid Akbari was out at two after facing 12 balls, as none except Md Saifuddin, Nasir Hossain and Pakistani Usman Khan managed to reach double figures.
