Rotary introduces 'Media Award' in Bangladesh

Rotary International Bangladesh District 3281 for the first time introduced 'Rotary Media Award' for the Journalists of Bangladesh who have made outstanding contributions in the field of "Development Journalism" in corresponds to the seven areas of focus of Rotary, says a statement.
This year Rotary Media Award 2022 has been given to Mufti Parvez Nadeem Reza of Ekattar TV and Shahed Shafiq of Bangla Tribune.
The winners received Tk 0.1 million (One lakh) each, award and certificate. The awards were handed over at Conference of Rotary International District 3281 Bangladesh held on Saturday at BICC, She-e- Banglanagar in the city.
The programme was addressed by RIPR Angsuman Bandyopadhay, Rotary Governor Barrister Mutasim Billah Faruqi, District First Leady Rokeya Faruqi, former Governor Magfur Uddin Ahmed, former Press Adviser to Prime Minister Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Lieutenant Governor of Rotary Abul Khair Chowdhury, Bangladesh Beauro Chief of AP Julhas Alam, Rotary Secretary General Tipu Khan, Conference Chair Sapon K. Roy, Chief news editor of NTV Zahirul Alam.
