Roundtable discussion on consumer rights held

Bangladesh Supermarket Owners Association and the Daily Destiny organised a roundtable discussion titled "Safe food and our responsibility for ensuring consumer rights" at the National Press Club in the city Monday, said a press release.
Editor of the Daily Destiny Mohammad Rafiqul Islam chaired the roundtable while president of Bangladesh Supermarket Owners Association Niaz Rahim gave the address of welcome.
Two noted nutritionists Dr Kushrshid Jahan and Prof Kahleda Islam presented the key note paper. Dr Anu Islam moderated the session.
Among others, Dr Arup Rantan Chowdhury, Prof Munirul Islam Khan , Prof Sadia Islam, Director of National Productivity Institute Dr Nazrul Islam, Syed Alamgir, Executive Director of ACI Limited, Secretary General of BFUJ Altaf Mahamud, Group Capt (retd) Mohammad Salimullah, Mohammad Zakir Hossain, Mrs Sharin Sattar also spoke at the roundtable.
The food and nutrition experts, governments officials, policymakers and media personalities were present at the roundtable.
