Roundtable on “TB Control and Social Participation” held

BRAHMANBARIA, Sept 28: National Tuberculosis control programme, Department of Health, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Brahmanbaria Press Club and BRAC jointly organised a roundtable on "Tuberculosis and social participation" in the Zilla Parishad auditorium recently.
Deputy Commissioner (DC), Brahmanbaria Md Abdul Hai was present at the function as the chief guest. Civil Surgeon Md Shahid Uddin presided over the function while BRAC Area Manager Wahiduzzaman gave the address of welcome.
Fifty-nine persons attended the function and participated in discussion. The participants included social workers, district level government officers, doctors, teachers, NGO workers, civil society, journalists and local elite persons.
Brahmanbaria Municipality Chairman Hafizur Rahman Molla Kachi, Senior Assistant Police Super Md Johor Hossain, Deputy Director of the Department of Family Planning Shankar Lal Baroi, WHO Consultant of Chittagong division Sanjib Kumer Dash, Social Communicator of BRAC Mahfuja Jesmin and Consultant of TB Clinic Brahmanbaria, Bashir Ahmed were also present and spoke at the function.
The function was conducted by President of Brahmanbaria Press Club Md Arju. Regional Health Coordinator of BRAC Ranju Chandra Saha thanked all audiences.
