Roundtable on proposed budget in city today

Association for Law Research and Human Rights (ALERT), a human rights watchdog, will hold a roundtable on the proposed budget for the fiscal 2007-08 at the National Press Club in the city today (Wednesday).
Eminent economist and former finance adviser of the caretaker government Shoeb Ahmed will address the roundtable as the chief guest, reports BSS.
With ALERT President Jahangir Alam Khan in the chair, former adviser of the caretaker government and ASA University Vice-chancellor Moinuddin Khan will moderate the roundtable.
BRAC University Dean (school of business) Iftekhar Gani Chowdhury, Daily Khabarpatra Editor Gias Kamal Chowdhury, Daily News Today Editor Reaz Uddin Ahmed, Daily Ittefaq acting editor Rahat Khan, former secretary Morshed Hossain, Barkat-e-Khuda of Dhaka University, Haripad Bhattacharya of DU, Daily Amar Desh Editor Amanullah Kabir, Daily Sangram Editor Abul Asad, Saker Ahmed, Osman Gani, Faruq Ahmed and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI) former president Rashed Maksud Khan will, among others, take part in the roundtable.
