Roundtable on TB control held in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT, Dec 15: Speakers at a roundtable meeting on TB control program, present condition and step which was held at Joypurhat Nursing Training Institute on Tuesday said that journalists can play vital role in creating awareness in the prevention of Tuberculosis (TB) through publishing objective reports at their respective media.
Organised jointly by National TB control program, Health and Family Planning Ministry, Health department, Joypurhat Press Club and BRAC the programme was presided over by Dr. Mozammel Haque Civil Surgeon, Joypurhat, while Ashok Kumar Bishash, Deputy Commissioner of Joypurhat, spoke as the chief guest. Mozammel Haque, police super of Joypurhat, Nripendranath Mondol PP and president of Joypurhat Press Club, Billu Das Saha senior health co-ordinator of BRAC Rajshahi Division. Dr. Mohammad Ali, Deputy Director of district family planning department also spoke on the occasion.
Also speaking were Nazimuddin, district health manager, BRAC Joypurhat unit, district women's affairs officer Momtaj Mohol, Mostafizul Haque deputy director of district social service office, journalist Abu Bakkar Siddik, Sahajahan Siraj Mithu and Raton Kumar Kha.
