RTV make good start beating New Age

Defending champion RTV made a good start in the Kool-BSJA Media Cup Six-a-Side Football Tournament beating New Age by 2-0 goal in one of the nine opening day's matches at the BFF Artificial-Turf in city's Motijheel Tuesday, reports UNB.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder inaugurated the soccer festival exclusively for the journalists in the morning, organised by Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA).
Head of the Marketing of the meet's sponsor Square Group Malik Mohammad Sayed, BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, and former national footballers Biplob Bhattacharjee and Alfaz Ahmed were present.
Managing Director of Square Group Anjan Chowdhury Pintu announced a donation of Tk 100,000 for the medical fund of the BSJA members.
In the day's other matches, last years runners-up Channel 24 beat Dainik Bortaman 2-0; Boishakhi TV defeated UNB 2-0; Dhaka Tribune blanked Naya Diganta 4-0; and My TV beat Gazi TV 1-0.
The match between Jamuna TV and Ekattor TV, Bangla Vision and ATN News, and Alokito Bangladesh and Samoy TV ended in goalless draw at the same venue.
Nine matches will be held on the 2nd day today (Wednesday).
Today's matches: BanglaNews vs New Age (8 am); New Nation vs ATN News (8:00 am) ; UNB vs Ekattor TV ( 9: 00 am); Gazi TV vs Independent (9:00 am); Channel i vs Naya Diganta (10:00 am); Channel 24 vs BDNews (10:00 am); Sakaler Khabor vs Sangram (11:00 am); Jamuna TV vs Boishakhi TV (11:00 am); and Samoy TV vs Maasranga TV (11:00 am).
