RU anthropology dept to celebrate 12 years of inception

RU Correspondent RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Nov 3: The Department of Anthropology of the Rajshahi University (RU) is going to celebrate its 12 years of inception on Dec 2 and 3 amid enthusiasm at the university campus. To mark the occasion, the department would chalk out various programmes including a colourful rally, alumni association forming, international seminar, orientation with participants of present and former teachers and students of the dept. The department authorities disclosed it to the newsmen with the chairperson Prof. Mizanuddin in the chair. For registration, former students will have to pay Tk 1000 while current students have to pay Tk 300, and the couples will have to pay Tk 1500. Jail Killing Day observed The teachers and students of the Rajshahi University (RU) paid their tribute to the four national leaders on Thursday commemorating the Jail Killing Day. They demanded exemplary punishment of the culprits of the nation's four intellectual's killing. They also urged to the government to launch trial activities of the killer immediately. Rajshahi University Teachers Association (RUTA), RU Officers Association and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), university unit observed separate programmes to recall the jail killing.
