RU BCU demands trial of Tapon's killer

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Feb 08: Bangladesh Chhatra Union (BCU) Rajshahi University unit took out a procession on campus demanding ban on religion-based politics and quick trial of the killers of its activist Tapon who died in a clash between the activists of Chhatra Shibir and Chhatra Union in 1993.
The procession started from the party tent that paraded the campus. After the procession, a protest meeting was held addressed by president of RU unit Rafi Ahmed Chanchal and general secretary Shipon Ahmed.
They handed over a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor M Abdus Sobhan.
