RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, July 5: Rajshahi University (RU) Day will be observed tomorrow (Wednesday).
RU was established on July 6 in 1953 following a proposal of Sadler Commission on March 31 in the same year.
The RU authorities have chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the day.
The programme will start with processions from every residential hall of the university at 9:30am and students will gather at the foot of Sabas Bangladesh for a grand rally.
A colourful procession will also be brought out at 10am from the Senate Bhaban and after parading the whole campus it would end at RU Kazi Nazrul Islam auditorium where a discussion will be held.
RU Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Abdus Sobahan is expected to attend the discussion as the chief guest while pro-VC, Treasurer, Registrar and former VCs and pro-VCs will attend it.
