RU female student killed under train

A female student of Rajshahi University was killed under a train at the university's Art College railway crossing in Rajshahi city. The deceased was identified as Ishrat Arefin, 19, a 1st year student of Applied Mathematics Department, hailed from Hatemkha area of the city. Quoting witnesses’ police said a Rajshahi-bound express train hit Ishrat while she was crossing the railway track around 11.30am. She was going to nearby Bhadra area, said Sunil Kumar Ghosh, Officer-in-Charge of Rajshahi GRP Police Station. Soon after the accident, local people sent Ishrat to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) with serious injuries where the attending doctors declared her dead, according to BSS.
