RU pays tribute to liberation martyrs

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Dec 17: The teachers, officials and students of the Rajshahi University (RU) paid homage to the martyred freedom fighters by whom this independent country figured in the world map, as part of the day-long programme on the Victory Day.
Marking the day Rajshahi University (RU) VC Prof. Muhammad Mizan Uddin, along with Pro-VC Prof Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan, treasurer, registrar, proctor, student's adviser and deans of different department's officials and employees placed floral wreaths at university Shaheed Minar at midnight 12:01 am.
Besides, Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), RU Press Club, RU Journalists Association, RU Reporters' Unity, RU Newspaper Readers Forum, Rovers Scout, Biplobi Chhatra Moitri, RU Students Union and students from different halls also placed wreaths at Shaheed Minar.
The authorities of RU chalked out elaborate programmes to mark the Victory Day this year.
