RU postpones fee hike decision

In the face of students’ agitation against increased fees and opening of evening programmes, Rajshahi University (RU) authorities on Saturday postponed its decisions in this regard. RU Vice Chancellor Prof Muhammad Mizanuddin made the announcement at a press conference at its Senate Bhaban at noon. He claimed that a chaotic situation has been created on the campus in the name of movement to confuse the general students because of the spread of as wrong information. The VC, however, did not say anything about introducing evening sessions. Meanwhile, the agitating students pledged to continue movement until the fulfilment of their demands.
