RU Science Workshop largest tech support centre for science education

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Nov 11: The Science Workshop is the largest technical support centre for the pure science-based education-research as well as technical based activities in the Rajshahi University (RU). The departments of pure science and engineering faculties have been getting support to conduct these lab works for a long time.
The workshop is engaged in repairing-servicing of various types of electrical, electronics, optics, mechanical and different computer devices over the university.  Especially the workshop serves repairing of different mechanical parts and devices of physics, applied physics, chemistry, material science, computer science & engineering (CSE) and information & Communication engineering departments.
It is helps the installations of new instruments of different departments and offices in the university.
Since 1960 the Science Workshop started functioning under the Dean of the Science faculty with Mechanical and Carpentry section. Initially the electronics and electrical section started its technical activities at the 2nd science building.
In 1985 the two sections shifted to the main building, where both are still functioning.
