RU takes exams during vacation to ease session jams

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, May 25: The Rajshahi University (RU) authorities are taking examinations of several departments within 45 days' summer vacation to avoid unpleasant situations that kill student's valuable time and deprive them of completing courses in time.
"It takes months to end the examinations if any examination was deferred for violence. Time passes away to re-fix the examination schedules that also hamper examination schedules of other batches. So, we have decided to hold examinations during vacation", RU Examinations Controller Dr Anowar Hossain said.
About 36 departments out of 48 are taking examinations in the period, the controller added.
Sources said that the plan university authority had taken would also ease session jams and enable students to complete their courses on time.
