RU to introduce 12 new departments

RAJSHAHI UNIVETRSITY, May 24: Rajshahi University (RU) is going to introduce 12 new departments and an institute at the university soon.
A source of the administration said that authority is going to admit new students in these departments from the upcoming academic session.
These departments are Microbiology, Medical Psychology, Social Science, Horticulture, Nutritional and Food Technology, Business & Trade Law, Law & Land Administration, International & Comparative Law, Private Law and Society, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Tourism & Hospitality Management.
Earlier a proposal to open the new departments, and institute at the campus, was approved at the 21st session of Senate that was held on May 18 after 14 years.
If the RU gets proper budget, it is possible to run these new departments from the next academic session, the said.
