RU to open new dept, faculty

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Aug 29: Rajshahi University (RU) authorities are going to open a new department and faculty from the next academic session 2016-17.
Prof. Entajul Haque, registrar of the varsity said, considering the demand of the country, the authorities have decided to open Physical Education department and took permission from the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Besides, Fine Arts Department will be separated from Arts faculty to open this as a full-fledged faculty from the academic session of 2016-17.
Mr. Haque also added, RU authorities have already approved it from a meeting of university academic council recently and the department and faculty will start functioning after the approval by the UGC.
