Rubel out of next Test match

Tuesday, 5 May 2015

Bangladeshi fast bowler Rubel Hossain has been ruled out of the 2nd and final match of the two-match DAN CAKE Test series after suffering a side strain, reports UNB.
Pace bowler Abul Hasan Raju has been called up to replace Rubel in the Bangladesh squad for the 2nd Test beginning in Dhaka on Wednesday (May 6).
Earlier, Rubel felt discomfort during the 4th day of the first Test in Khulna and subsequently underwent a scan Monday in Dhaka which confirmed the injury, said a BCB media release on Monday.
National Team physio Bayjedul Islam said: "The results confirmed a Grade 1 left side strain.  It takes about three to four weeks to recover from such injuries. He (Rubel Hossain) will begin his rehab in the next couple of days."
