Rubel secures anticipatory bail

Bangladesh cricketer Rubel Hossain has secured a one-month anticipatory bail from the High Court in the case filed by actress Naznin Akter Happy.
His lawyer SM Rezaul Karim told bdnews24.com the bench of Justices Syed AB Mahmudul Huq and Md Akram Hossain Chowdhury granted the bail after hearing a plea Monday.
“But he will have to get extension of the bail from the court after it expires,” he added.
Actress Happy Saturday sued Rubel under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act with Mirpur police for cheating on her.
Happy filed the case with Mirpur police alleging that the pacer had promised to marry her and the two shared intimate relations for nine months after having got in touch through Facebook.
