RUET staff threaten strike

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, June 30: The general employees of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) threatened Tuesday to go for an indefinite strike from July 4 protesting against non-implementation of gradation and selection policies.
The RUET employees also submitted a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor and Registrar.
Shahnewaz Sarker, representative of the employees, said they would wear back badges and organise a protest rally tomorrow (Thursday) and observe daylong strike on July 2 to press home their demands.
