Sunday, 14 September 2014
The Appellate Division on Sunday will deliver its verdict on two petitions filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia over the legality of appointment of a judge, who indicted her in two graft cases. Khaleda’s two petitions are on the top of the cause-list of the five-judge division led by Chief Justice M Muzammel Hossain for Sunday. The bench on Thursday had fixed September 14 to issue the verdict. Attorney General Mahbubey Alam represented the state during hearing while AJ Mohammad Ali and Joynal Abedin stood for Khaleda, also the former prime minister, according to a news agency.
