Saturday, 13 December 2014
BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that the ruling party men and the law enforcers have been trying to obstruct the party’s peaceful public rally scheduled to be held in Narayanganj in the outskirts of Dhaka city this (Saturday) afternoon. ‘The government has made ‘evil designs’ to prevent BNP from holding the public meeting. They have resorted to evil tactics to resist massive public gatherings at the 20-party rally in Kanchpur on Saturday. They’re creating obstacles towards holding the public meeting. Policve have been raiding the houses of our leaders and workers in Rupganj Upazila and other different parts of Narayanganj district and arresting the leaders and activists of the 20-party alliance activists,’ he alleged. The 20-party rally is slated for a 2pm start at Balurmath in Kanchpur. Khaleda Zia is likely to address the rally, according to a news agency.
