Rupali Bank gets new chairman

Former deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank Nazrul Huda has been appointed as Director and Chairman of Rupali Bank PLC.
The government has appointed this experienced banker as chairman of the state-owned Rupali Bank for a term of 3 years. The appointment was made through a notification issued by the Finance Ministry's Financial Institutions Division on Tuesday.
He was a member of Bangladesh Bank's Board of Directors. He also successfully worked as a deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank for a long time.
Nazrul Huda, who has 35 years of experience in the central bank, has worked on missions at various international organisations and also was an adviser to the Maldives Monetary Authority.
The senior central banker did his post-graduation in economics from the University of New England, Australia and the University of Dhaka.
