Rupali Insurance declares 20pc stock dividend

Rupali Insurance Company Ltd. approved a 20 per cent stock dividend at its 19th annual general meeting (AGM) held at a city hotel Wednesday.
Chairman of the Company Mostafa Golam Quddus presided over the AGM, according to a press release.
A large number of shareholders attended the AGM and unanimously approved a stock dividend of 20 per cent per share of Tk 100.00 each for the shareholders for the year 2006.
The chairman thanked the management for the good performance in 2006. Some of the shareholders also spoke on the occasion
It was reported in the AGM that the Company earned a pre-tax profit of Tk 37.00 million in 2006. After allocating Tk. 8.00 million for reserve fund and Tk 9.00 million for income tax, the Company declared the aforesaid stock dividend.
