Rupali's funeral held

BOGRA, Nov 2: The funeral of Rupali Rani, who allegedly committed suicide after being abducted by a stalker was held Tuesday. After the autopsy at Sirajganj Sadar Hospital, Rupali's body was taken to her home around 12:00 pm. Family and neighbours broke into tears at the sight of the body. The funeral was held at a cremation ground at Khalishagari village in Sherpur, Bogra. Meanwhile, the arrested stalker, Sushil Mandal (18), son of Shamvu Mandal of Nidhuri village, was produced before a Sirajganj court Tuesday. Rupali Rani (16), daughter of Sunil Barati of Khalishagari village, was a student of SR Girls' High School. It's been alleged that Rupali was on her way to a private tutor's house at Nidhuri village, at around 6:00 am Monday, when Sushil, who was hiding in a nearby bamboo bush, kidnapped her. -- bdnews24.com
