Rupantarita Gas earns Tk 988.2m net profit

Rupantarita Prakritik Gas Company Limited (RPGCL), a sister concern of Petrobangla, earned Tk 988.2 million net profit for the fiscal 2008-09, which was 63.89 per cent higher than that of the previous year.
This was disclosed at the 22nd annual general meeting (AGM) of the company at a city hotel Saturday, said a press release.
Chaired by RPGCL Board of Directors Chairman Syed Abdul Malek, the meeting was attended, among others, by State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Muhammad Enamul Huq, Secretary for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Mohammad Mohsin, Petrobangla Chairman Md Hussain Monsur and RPGCL Managing Director Shafiul Azam besides Petrobangla directors, shareholders, RPGCL directors and other high officials from different ministries and organisations.
