Rural industrialisation stressed for poverty eradication

Speakers at a seminar in the city said rural industrialisation can play a vital role in ensuring sustainable poverty eradication creating huge jobs in the country.
They said rural industrialisation is needed to eradicate poverty from the country as agriculture alone cannot absorb the country’s growing labour force.
Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) arranged the seminar tiled ‘Rural Industrialisation for Sustainable Poverty Eradication’ on the sidelines of its seven-day development fair 2014, held in the city’s Bangabandhu International Conference Centre Sunday, according to a news agency. State Minister for Science and Technology Architect Yeafesh Osman spoke as the chief guest at the seminar held with PKSF Managing Director Abdul Karim in the chair.
