Rushanara takes oath

LONDON, May 27: Rushanara Ali, the first-ever elected Bangladeshi-born MP of the Britain's parliament, took her oath at the House of Commons Thursday. The 35-year old woman placed her hands on the Quran while taking her oath. She was elected MP for Bethnal Green and Bow in East London on the Labour Party ticket. — bdnews24.com
