Russia rules out new talks on Ukraine

Russia on Monday ruled out holding new international talks on Ukraine, saying that a solution to the crisis could only be found through direct dialogue between Kiev and the separatists. "Holding another four-way meeting makes little sense," Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in reference to negotiations involving Kiev, Moscow, Washington and the European Union. "We do not want to repeat what has already taken place... but to move on to talks between Kiev and its opponents in the eastern regions of Ukraine," according to AFP.
