S Alam AGM approves 17pc cash dividend

CHITTAGONG, Apr 2: The eighth annual general meeting (AGM) of S Alam Cold Rolled Steels Limited has approved 17 per cent cash dividend for the year that ended on September 30, 2008.
The AGM was held at the Institution of Engineers, Chittagong recently.
The sixth extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of the company was also held on the day.
Chairman of the board of directors of the company Abdus Samad presided over both the meetings attended by a large number of shareholders.
They expressed satisfaction over the performance of the company and thanked the board of directors as well as the management of the company for their persistent efforts to run the company efficiently.
Among others, directors Shahidul Alam, Md Osman Gani, MA Motalib Chowdhury and AKM Ali Johar, Independent Director Md Aminul Hoque and Managing Director of the company Md Saiful Alam were present at the meeting.
