S Alam's cousin Ansarul Alam detained from Ctg airport

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 02: Immigration police have detained Ansarul Alam Chowdhury, a cousin of S Alam Group's Chairman Saiful Alam Masud, from the Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram while he was fleeing to the United Arab Emirates.
Inspector of immigration police Md Tahyatul Islam confirmed that businessman Ansarul was detained around 8:30 am on Monday.
He said, "Ansarul came to the airport around 8:30 am to board a US-Bangla Airlines flight (BS 343) to the UAE. He was detained due to his association with loan defaulter Saiful Alam."
Tahyatul further said that immigration police came to know about a loan of Tk 16.30 billion (1,630 crore) from the Chaktai Branch of Islami Bank under the name of Ansarul's "Inherent Trading" and another loan of Tk 3.40 billion (340 crore) from Janata Bank under the name of "Ansar Enterprise".
Ansarul, who has been handed over to the Patenga police station for legal procedures, hails from Raozan upazila of the district and owns M/S Ansar Enterprise. He is also the cousin of S Alam Group's Chairman Saiful Alam Masud.
