S Asian varsity\\\'s regional campus to be built in BD

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has said that the regional campus of South Asian University will be established in Bangladesh. The education minister said he had made a proposal to establish the regional campus of SA University in Bangladesh and almost all the member states of the South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation (SAARC) expressed their support to the proposal. ‘I made the proposal while addressing the 2nd meeting of SAARC Education Ministers in New Delhi recently,’ Nahid said while speaking with the journalists at his office in the city. Indian Education and Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani, who supported the proposal, chaired the meeting. The minister said Bangladesh is always determined for the development of SAARC. ‘We believe mutual development is possible if we work together,’ he added. Nahid led the four-member delegation to the meeting, according to a news agency.
