Touring South Africa National Cricket Academy team face innings defeat against hosts GP-BCB National Cricket Academy team after the 3rd day's play in the 2nd four-day match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city Sunday, reports UNB. Hosts GP-BCB NCA team need just two wickets to earn an emphatic innings victory while South Africa NCA team need another 139 runs to escape innings defeat on the 4th and final day today (Monday). Replying to GP-BCB NCA team's huge 479 runs in the first innings, South Africa NCA resumed their first innings with overnight 66 for one and were dismissed cheaply for 199 in 81.1 overs, falling victim of follow-on. Night watch batsman Dominic Hendricks (30) scored 46 runs off 115 balls with eight fours while another night watch batsman Lenert Van Wyk (17) scored 52 runs off 126 balls with five boundaries. Graham Hume (38), Hardous Viljoen (20) and Joshua Richards (17) were the other notable contributors for South Africa Academy team. Sanjamul Islam bowled devastatingly to claim seven wickets for 47 runs in 28.1 overs with seven maidens. Forced to follow-on, the visitors opened the 2nd innings in the afternoon and scored 141 for 8 in 37 overs at stumps on the 3rd day (Sunday) with lower order Hardous Viljoen batting with 48 runs off 32 balls that featured seven fours and a six. Besides, Romano (21), Marchant (batting 18), Lenert (14), Dominic (13) and Christian (11) were the other batsmen reaching the double figures. Shaker Ahmed claimed five wickets for 73 runs while Sanjamul Islam, who grabbed seven wickets in the first innings, took two wickets for 41 runs.
