SAARC Cabinet Secretaries meeting Saturday

The two-day 2nd meeting of the SAARC Cabinet Secretaries will begin in a city hotel Saturday in a bid to identify the priority areas of increased cooperation among the countries in the region, according to a news agency.
The Cabinet Secretaries of the SAARC member countries will call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban Saturday morning to start the meeting proceedings. The Prime Minister will give necessary directives about the agenda of the two-day meeting.
The meeting will discuss strategy to further expand the regional cooperation among the SAARC nations. Besides, issues such as administrative reforms and good governance, capacity building and improvement of service will be high on the agenda at the meeting.
Representatives of the SAARC countries will put forward initiatives taken by their respective countries in the fields mentioned above, and exchange views on the best practices in this regard.
