Saarc Cabinet Secretaries’ meeting begins Saturday

The two-day 2nd meeting of the Saarc Cabinet Secretaries will begin in a city hotel on Saturday in a bid to identify the priority areas of increased cooperation among the countries in the region. The Cabinet Secretaries of the Saarc member countries will call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban on Saturday morning to start the meeting proceedings. The Prime Minister will give necessary directives about the agenda of the two-day meeting. The meeting will discuss strategy to further expand the regional cooperation among the Saarc nations. It is expected that the discussions and exchange of views at the two-day meeting of the Saarc Cabinet Secretaries will play a positive role in bolstering regional cooperation in different fields in South Asia, according to UNB.
