FE Report
In response to media queries and reports on Sabina Yasmin's medical treatment and return to Bangladesh, National Cancer Centre Singapore and Singapore General Hospital -- both institutions under Singapore's largest healthcare group SingHealth -- have confirmed that Sabina has completed her treatment in Singapore, said a press release.
In a statement the SingHealth spokesman said: "It was our great privilege to have treated Sabina Yasmin for stage 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. We are pleased with the very good outcome. Sabina tolerated the treatment very well and with great courage.
"She was cheerful and gracious throughout. Sabina completed her treatment and was discharged from Singapore General Hospital in October.
“We are grateful to the Bangladeshi and Bengali community in Singapore and worldwide for giving Sabina their full support and making her feel at home during her treatment.
“Sabina will have medical follow-up in Dhaka and Singapore.
“As part of our shared care effort across borders, full communication between her doctor in Dhaka and her primary treating physician in Singapore, Dr Toh Han Chong, Senior Consultant at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, will take place to ensure good exchange of information and updates of her medical condition.
“We are very happy that Sabina is able to return well to the people of Bangladesh.”
