The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) jointly organised South Asian Federation of Accounts (SAFA) Best Presented Accounts and Corporate Governance Disclosures Awards 2008 giving ceremony at Banganbandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) Thursday.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith attended the programme as chief guest. SAFA President Sheikh A. Hafiz, ICAB President Nasir Uddin Ahmed and ICMAB President ABM Shamsuddin, among others, addressed the ceremony.
A total of 35 corporate houses from South Asian countries received the SAFA awards 2008.
A total of 35 business entities got the Best Presented Accounts (BPA) awards in seven categories.
