Safe childbirth

A report of the United Nations has said that during delivery too many women die in Bangladesh and we must prevent it. We need to provide special care to the expecting mothers. We came to know from the UN report that we have one of the highest unskilled attendants at delivery.
We have to prepare more nurses with midwifery skills so that they become helpful during the time of delivery. We have to improve our medicare system for the poor and middle-income people. Nowadays, many physicians charge high which doesn't go with our socio-economic condition. Although the number of maternal deaths has been reduced in the last few decades, still we have a long way to go. Mobile technology has played an important role in giving good medical care to pregnant women. Through mobile SMS women get vital information about what to do during the time of pregnancy and diet. There are thousands of women who have no idea about how to plan their childbirth and they rely on unscientific treatment.
It is high time we worked towards improving the present medicare situation during delivery.
