Safiullah elected president of APF

Safiullah Chowdhury, former director of FBCCI and member of executive committee of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was elected president of Asian Packaging Federation (APF) unanimously.
The election to the board of directors of APF, the highest organisation in Asia and pacific region, was held in Tokyo, Japan recently, according to a press release.
The 58th board of administrative meeting and the 34th general meeting of APF were also held at the same venue.
In this connection, a delegation from Bangladesh under the leadership of Safiullah Chowdhury, adviser and former president of Bangladesh Corrugated Carton and Accessories Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BCCAMEA), attended the meetings.
Mr Chowdhury is the only Bangladeshi who has been elected the president during 50 years history of APF.
As a result, the image of Bangladesh has increased in manifold in the national and international arena, the release added.
