Sahara warns against chaos during long march

Monday, 10 October 2011

Home Minister Sahara Khatun Sunday warned that law enforcers will swung into action if the opposition BNP tries to create chaos in the name of 'road march', reports UNB. She, however, said law-enforcing agencies will be there to cooperate with BNP if it seeks cooperation from the police during their road march. Her remarks came on the eve of BNP's scheduled road march towards Sylhet. The road march will start from the party's central office at Naya Paltan at 10:00 am today (Monday). Talking to reporters after a meeting at her ministry, Sahara said the then opposition Awami League also staged road march programme on foot without causing any chaos, "but the BNP is going to stage the road march with cars." State Minister for Home Affairs Shamsul Haque Tuku, the Home Secretary and the IGP were present at the meeting.
